The debris coming off of the buidling was even a higher resolution than the building.I'm a few hours in and man I am not sure about this game. Oh boy, this game does not make good first impressions with the awkwardly paced chocobo scene and then a little later that building that looks like its straight lifted out of the psp game exploding with an explosion thats at least 10 times sharper than the bloody building itself. Some of them are useful, others less so (I'm looking at you, flute-girl).

The music is fantastic, the combat has a nice amount of depth and all the characters play completely differently. Its very amateurish looking.Ĭharacter models look nice, everything else looks muddy and crudely detailed. Probably a holdover from space limitations on the PSP, but most of the dialogue is delivered with static characters facing each other followed by a fade to black and then on to another static shot with nothing to tie the scenes together (even when characters are in the same room).

The lock-on is finnicky, coupled with the aforementioned motion blur can make this game a headache to look at.Ī minor nitpick, but there is almost no continuity to the cutscene direction. Pretty sure theres a Japanese audio option though. Awkward pauses in the middle of sentences, strangely antiquated turns of phrases, annoying voice actors, you name it. The voice acting is terrible, and I mean even by JRPG standards. Such a shame, considering there's probably a fun game underneath. The slightest touch of the stick whips the camera around, blurring everything but your character and it makes me feel like I'm gonna throw up. This game seems pretty cool, and I can look past the PSP up-resed graphics but my god the camera is just awful.
